Alumnae and Students Achievement

Ms. Anupama, an alumna of the 2024–2026 batch (Malayalam option), contributed her study materials and textbooks to the college Book Bank on 11 July 2026. She handed them over to the Principal. The Book Bank is maintained for the benefit of financially backward students, helping them access the learning resources they need for their studies. The college appreciates Ms. Anupama's thoughtful gesture. Her contribution reflects the spirit of service and the bond that alumnae continue to share with their institution, and it will be a valuable resource for future student teachers.

The college organized the Alumnae Meet 2026 on 11 July 2026 at 9.30 a.m. in the Seminar Hall. The programme began with a prayer, followed by a welcome speech by Ms. Thasmi A S, faculty member. The annual report was read by Kavya Shankar. Dr. Anitha Chiramel, Principal and Patron of the Alumnae Association, spoke briefly about the contributions and activities of the alumnae. More than 90 alumnae attended the meeting. New members of the Alumnae Committee were elected, and a few alumnae shared their experiences. The College Union Election 2026 was conducted on 15 October 2026, and the results were declared on the same day. A demonstration class was conducted for the first year student teachers of the 2026-2028 batch on 18 September 2026. The class was handled by Aiswarya K A, an alumna of the college. Through the demonstration, she showed how a well planned lesson is carried out in the classroom, including introducing the topic, using teaching aids, involving students through questions and activities, and concluding with evaluation. The student teachers observed the class closely and learned practical ways to apply the principles of teaching they study in the B.Ed. programme. The session was informative and helpful for the first year student teachers as they prepare for their own practice teaching. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks. The demonstration class gave the student teachers a clear picture of effective classroom teaching. The college thanks Aiswarya K A for sharing her skills and experience with her juniors.

"Rise Up Young Buds", a motivational talk for the freshers of the 2026-2027 batch, was held on 15 July 2026 at 10:30 am in the college auditorium. The resource person was Kavya Sankar, an alumna of the 2023-2025 batch and the college topper of her year. She is now working as HSST (Higher Secondary School Teacher) in Biology at Kanika Matha Convent School, Palakkad. Sharing her journey from student teacher to practising teacher, she spoke about making the most of the B.Ed. programme, building strong teaching skills, managing time and staying focused on goals. She encouraged the freshers to take part actively in college activities, value their teachers' guidance and approach their training with confidence and a positive attitude. Athira M, a student teacher of the 2025-2027 batch at Holy Family College of Education for Women, has cleared the UGC NET in 2026. She has qualified for Assistant Professor and admission to PhD in the UGC NET 2026 examination.Her success while still pursuing her B.Ed. reflects her dedication and strong subject knowledge, and it inspires her fellow student teachers.
